Nico is a sophomore from California currently studying the intersection of E&S, engineering, and politics. He is interested in the role that people and the government play in the transition of technological development to implemented solutions. He also enjoys drawing, hiking, playing piano, and spending time with his dogs.

Ashley Stagnari

Vice President

Major: Environment and Sustainability 24'

Ashley is a sophomore in CALS with a concentration in Environmental Policy and Governance.  She is interested in bridging the gap between science and policy in an effort to address climate change and foster the growth of sustainable development. She is also an avid reader and enjoys exploring nature.

Thomas Jacuot

Treasurer

Major: Plant Science 25'

Thomas is excited to be this year’s SNRC treasurer!  He has a QuickBooks certification, has completed college courses in accounting, and has been the treasurer for multiple service clubs. In the future, he hopes to implement the systems necessary to stop the various current and future crises. He is considering minoring or double-majoring in E&S and has a special interest in kelp farming.

Ben is a freshman double-majoring in Environment & Sustainability and Communication. He is interested in climate risk communication, bridging the gap between science and climate action, and advocating for sustainable development. He loves to go on hikes with his dogs, play trumpet and guitar, eat good food, and stargaze.

Melanie Halko

Secretary/Webmaster

Major: Environment & Sustainability '25

Melanie is a sophmore from San Diego, CA  studying environment and sustainability with a concentration in environmental biology and applied ecology. She is interested in wildlife conservation and how education impacts public perception. In her free time she also enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors, crocheting, and cooking new recipies.

 Maya is a student in CALS interested in the ways in which our current economic system affects prevailing attitudes and behaviors toward the environment and how it could be adjusted to promote environmental stewardship. In her free time, she loves hiking, taking her dogs on walks, and listening to music.

Milla is a freshman double-majoring in Communication and Environment and Sustainability. She hopes to become a professional advocate for the environment and connect with audiences of varying levels of commitment to sustainability. Her hobbies include kickboxing, drawing, and baking on the occasion when she does not set fire to the kitchen.

Jaden Martinez

Eco Delegate

Major: Animal Science '26

Jaden is a freshman from Riverside, California studying Animal Science, concentrated in exotic species. He would like to work in the field with marine life or wildlife, and research ways species on the brink of extinction can be protected from the developing world. Nature running, time with family and friends, and partying are his favorite pastimes.

Julia Than

Adopt-a-Gorge Liaison

Major: Environment and Sustainability '26

Julia is a freshman studying E&S with a self-designed concentration focusing on sustainable development and ESG. She is also pursuing minors in inequality, demography, and sustainable business and economic policy. She is especially interested in how environmental issues impact different groups of people. On the side, Julia enjoys trying new foods and playing racquet sports.
